Did You Know?  Bead Care/Sunlight
You already know that fabric colors exposed to sunlight will fade.  The same is true for beads.  Beads stored or displayed in sunlight will fade quickly, often sooner than fabric. Make sure that your finished hung beaded pieces or your beads in storage are not subjected to direct sunlight even for a short period of time.

It is a good idea to include a note about sunlight with your piece when it is shipped or delivered to a show or exhibit.  I was once invited to have a one person exhibit in one of three rooms at venue which was very familiar with fiber art.  When I arrived to hang the show, I discovered the room I had been assigned to had 180 degree floor to ceiling windows facing the southwest!  The venue thought the sunlight would make the beads "really sparkle".  Changes were made, and I was assigned a different room.
