Let the foremost authority on fabric beading be your personal guide as you learn new and exciting beading techniques based on the opulent bead embroidery featured on Victorian crazy quilts.  I have spent countless hours over a 20 year period finding a way to easily turn embroidery stitches into beading patterns which I call Crazy Beading. You will find in the book over 100 beading patterns, with illustrated instructions, clear color photos, and stitch direction diagrams so even a novice beader will have the techniques  and confidence to create works of art.  Start with bead embroidery basics and my favorite beading tips, and then move on to creating the lazy daisy, chain, chevron, cretan, feather, button hole, and other stitches with beads. Click on the small images to see what is included in this book.

I have included a special section for left-hand stitchers

120 beautiful pages with step- by- step illustrations, text, and  color photos. Even an absolute beginner can be successful!

Paper for foundation piecing  is recommended to make the patterns in this beading book, using my easy paper pattern technique.

I found Nancy’s clear instructions accompanied by very easy-to-follow photographs perfect. Her beading and crazy quilting books are excellent quality, fantastic photography especially the close-ups and I highly recommend them as very inspirational additions to a stitcher’s library. Without the help of her instructions for attaching cabochons to fabric with beads, I would never have been able to attach my sun-face to my “Message in a Bottle” Challenge piece. Thank you Nancy!!

Her detailed illustrations make it easy to follow along and complete your projects with confidence. I have several of her books and am always looking for new releases. Even my first project received rave reviews, thanks to Nancy’s direction.
